Referendum approval requires both a majority of votes cast and that those voting in favor represent a majority of production among all registered producers

Missouri beef checkoff fee cannot exceed the federal beef assessment amount, and funds must be deposited separately and used only for beef research, marketing, education, and promotion

Termination of the fee requires either a majority council vote or petition from 10% of registered producers, followed by a simple majority referendum vote
