Adds seven new sections to Missouri law (324.100-324.112) creating state licensure for music therapists, effective January 1, 2017

Requires applicants to hold a bachelor's degree or higher in music therapy, complete at least 1,200 hours of clinical training (180 hours pre-internship, 900 hours internship), and pass the Certification Board for Music Therapists examination

Establishes a five-member Music Therapy Advisory Group within the Division of Professional Registration, consisting of three practicing music therapists, one licensed health care provider, and one consumer member serving four-year terms

Licenses must be renewed biennially with proof of board certified music therapist status and completion of 40 hours of continuing education

Authorizes sanctions including suspension, revocation, probation, reprimand, or fines of $100-$1,000 per violation for misconduct, felony conviction, negligence, or inability to practice with reasonable skill
