School boards in provisionally accredited districts, unaccredited districts, and those with buildings performing at unaccredited levels must enter into contracts with the State Board of Education committing to specific interventions for each school building.

Districts that execute a contract cannot be accredited below the "provisionally accredited" level for the duration of the contract term.

Contracts must require intensive professional development for all board members, administrators, and teachers.

When the State Board of Education deems it necessary, contracts must require the school district to engage community partners to support school improvement projects within 30 days of contract execution, or the contract becomes null and void.
