Removes the special workers' compensation requirement that previously applied to construction industry employers (those who erect, demolish, alter, or repair improvements) with just one or more employees

Construction industry employers will now follow the standard threshold of five or more employees to be subject to Missouri's workers' compensation law

Employers with fewer than five employees may still voluntarily elect to become subject to workers' compensation provisions under section 287.090

Family members within the third degree of affinity or consanguinity continue to count toward the employee threshold for determining employer status

Amends section 287.030 of the Missouri Revised Statutes regarding the definition of "employer" under workers' compensation law
