Missouri motor vehicles would be required to display only one license plate instead of two, with the single plate displayed on the front of the vehicle for most passenger vehicles (8-48 inches above ground)

Trucks, tractors, and truck-tractors licensed over 12,000 pounds may still request two plates for an additional fee not exceeding the personalized plate fee, with distinguishing marks for front and rear

Trailers, motorcycles, motortricycles, and motorscooters would continue displaying their single plate on the rear of the vehicle

Buses and trucks over 12,000 pounds would display their plate on the front, unless two plates are issued

The bill amends 14 sections of Missouri Revised Statutes (Chapter 301) to change references from "plates" to "plate" throughout various license plate categories including disabled veteran, disabled person, personalized, retired military, former POW, and firefighter plates
