No additional fees beyond standard registration fees are charged for Purple Heart license plates, eliminating the previous fee that was charged for subsequent sets of plates

No limit on the number of Purple Heart plates a qualified recipient may obtain, provided each set is for a vehicle they own solely or jointly

Plates are non-transferable except that a registered co-owner may continue operating the vehicle for the remainder of the license year if the qualified veteran dies
