Non-regionally accredited higher education institutions in Missouri must provide written disclosure during the admissions process that they lack regional accreditation recognized by the U.S. Department of Education

Students must sign the disclosure (in writing or electronically) before registering for any credit-granting class, acknowledging that credits may not transfer to regionally accredited institutions

The required disclosure must be printed in at least 14-point font and warn that credits may not transfer to universities, colleges, junior colleges, community colleges, or trade schools

Religious institutions accredited by a national faith-related accrediting organization recognized by the U.S. Department of Education are exempt from these disclosure requirements
