Political subdivisions may elect by majority vote to cover emergency police dispatchers and jailers as policemen members, and emergency fire dispatchers and emergency medical service personnel as firemen members, of the Missouri Local Government Employees' Retirement System

Removes qualified domestic relations orders (QDROs) as an exception to the protection of county employee retirement benefits from legal claims, while maintaining the exception for child support and maintenance collection

City employees (in cities not within a county) earning creditable service under a city retirement plan who become policemen may elect to remain in their current plan or transfer membership and service to the police retirement system

Transfers to the police retirement system completed prior to January 1, 2016 occur without regard to vesting requirements of the receiving plan

The standard limitation on increases in employer contributions does not apply to contribution increases resulting from a political subdivision's election to cover dispatchers, jailers, and EMS personnel under the system
