Missouri Department of Health must provide coverage for amino acid-based elemental formulas (made from single nonallergenic amino acids) for children under 19 with specific medical conditions including IgE and non-IgE mediated food allergies, food protein-induced enterocolitis syndrome, eosinophilic disorders, and GI tract absorption disorders

Applicants 19 and older qualify for coverage if they meet medical criteria and have income at or below 300% of the federal poverty level

Adults receiving coverage must pay fees and monthly premiums based on a sliding scale established by the department

Department may promulgate rules to implement the program, subject to Chapter 536 administrative procedures and General Assembly oversight
