Applies to elections for county executive, prosecuting attorney, and county assessor in charter counties with more than 950,000 inhabitants (St. Louis County)

Requires a runoff election if no candidate receives at least 50% of votes cast in the general election

Runoff election must be held between 14 and 30 days after the election authority issues a proclamation announcing the results

Only the top two vote-getters from the general election appear on the runoff ballot

Election authority must publish legal notice of the special election at least 10 days before in a newspaper of general circulation, including date, time, and sample ballot
