Charter school governing board members must be registered voters in the district where the charter school is located and must have resided in Missouri for at least one year prior to their election or appointment

Amends Section 160.405, RSMo, by adding a new subsection 11 with this residency and voter registration requirement

Applies to all charter schools regardless of sponsor type (school board, state board of education, or other authorized sponsors)

Existing provisions regarding charter school operations, performance standards, financial accountability, and sponsor oversight remain unchanged
