Missouri's General Assembly ratifies the Equal Rights Amendment (ERA) to the U.S. Constitution, which prohibits denial or abridgment of equal rights under the law on account of sex

The ERA was originally passed by Congress and sent to states for ratification on March 22, 1972, with 35 states ratifying before the June 30, 1982 deadline

The resolution argues Congress may not have constitutional authority to place a deadline on the ratification process, asserting Missouri can still validly ratify under Article V

Directs the Chief Clerk of the Missouri House to send inscribed copies of the resolution to the U.S. Archivist, Vice President, Speaker of the House, and Missouri's Congressional delegation for inclusion in the Congressional Record
