Requires applicants to pass the Certification Board for Music Therapists examination and maintain board certified status, with an examination waiver available until January 1, 2020 for those already holding national certifications

Mandates biennial license renewal with proof of 40 hours of continuing education and maintenance of board certified music therapist status

Authorizes the director to impose sanctions including suspension, revocation, probation, reprimand, or fines of $100 to $1,000 per violation for offenses such as felony conviction, negligence, or failure to practice with reasonable skill
