Towing companies must have a verifiable business address visible from the street, a fenced and lighted storage lot with minimum 2,000 square feet of vehicle storage space, and fencing at least 7 feet high

Companies must be open minimum 8 hours per day between 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. Monday through Friday for vehicle viewing and retrieval, with no additional fees during regular business hours

Initial tows under sections 304.153, 304.155, or 304.157 must remain in Missouri unless the vehicle owner or their agent authorizes otherwise

Tows under section 304.155 cannot be dispatched through third-party dispatch systems unless hired by the towing company, except in home rule cities with more than 400,000 inhabitants located in more than one county

Towing companies in second, third, fourth classification counties, and first classification counties with 101,000-115,000 inhabitants are exempt from these requirements
