Cities, towns, and villages receiving more than 30% of annual general operating revenue from traffic violation fines and court costs must send excess revenues to the Department of Revenue for distribution to county schools

Counties are removed from the 30% revenue cap requirement, leaving only cities, towns, and villages subject to this restriction

Municipalities failing to submit accurate financial reports or send excess revenues by the deadline (last day of the second month after fiscal year end) lose municipal court jurisdiction over traffic violations until compliance is achieved

Noncompliant municipalities must pay interest on overdue excess revenues at the rate set by section 32.065 to restore court jurisdiction

Presiding judges of municipal court divisions must report their court's name, address, and other information to the state courts administrator by December 31, 2015, and within 90 days whenever a municipal division is established or abolished
