Public schools must test each enrolling student for dyslexia and related disorders at times determined by State Board of Education rules

School boards and charter school governing boards must provide treatment for any student identified with dyslexia or related disorders

Dyslexia is defined as a constitutional disorder causing difficulty learning to read, write, or spell despite conventional instruction, adequate intelligence, and sociocultural opportunity

Related disorders include developmental auditory imperception, dysphasia, specific developmental dyslexia, developmental dysgraphia, and developmental spelling disability

State Board of Education must promulgate rules for testing, subject to Chapter 536 administrative procedures; rules adopted after August 28, 2015 become void if rulemaking authority is held unconstitutional
