MO SCR12

Creates the Missouri Multiple Sclerosis Task Force to identify unmet needs of persons with MS and develop strategies to enhance their quality of life, productivity, and independence

Task Force consists of 13 members: 2 state senators, 2 state representatives, the Director of Health and Senior Services (or designee), 2 licensed neurologists, 2 representatives from national MS organizations, 2 service agency representatives, and 2 persons living with MS

Requires the Task Force to develop recommendations on improving access to treatments and therapeutic options for MS patients

Task Force must report findings and recommendations to the General Assembly by January 1, 2017, at which point it terminates

Senate Research, House Research, and Joint Committee on Legislative Research staff provide legal, research, clerical, and bill drafting support to the Task Force
