Public school administrators, teachers, and employees are prohibited from requiring students or parents to provide information about firearm ownership by the student's family

School administrators and employees cannot require teachers or other school employees to disclose information about their personal firearm ownership

Voluntarily provided firearm ownership information cannot be used as a basis for disciplinary action against students or adverse employment action against school staff

Disciplinary or employment actions remain permitted if based on violations of Chapter 571 (Missouri's weapons offense statutes)

The prohibition applies to all public school districts and charter schools in Missouri
