Establishes the "Trauma-Informed Schools Initiative" within the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, requiring the department to provide information, training, and a website about trauma-informed approaches to all school districts

Requires school districts to provide parents with the trauma-informed schools website address before October 1st of each school year

Creates a pilot program (subject to appropriations) selecting five public schools from different geographic areas across Missouri to receive intensive trauma-informed training and implementation funds

Defines "trauma-informed school" as one that recognizes trauma's impact, identifies signs in students and staff, integrates trauma knowledge into policies, and actively resists re-traumatization

Pilot program terminates August 28, 2019, with a report to the General Assembly due by December 31, 2019; Section 161.1050 becomes effective July 1, 2017
