Nonpublic high schools in Missouri may apply to the state board of education for A+ Schools Program certification, subject to the same criteria as public high schools

Certified nonpublic schools are not eligible for program grants, but their students may receive postsecondary tuition reimbursement if they meet eligibility requirements

Eligible students must attend a certified high school for at least three years prior to graduation, with exceptions for active duty military dependents and children of recently retired military personnel

Reimbursement covers tuition, books, and fees at public community colleges, vocational/technical schools, or qualifying two-year private vocational/technical schools

Students must meet minimum grade requirements, make good faith efforts to secure federal funding first, and be U.S. citizens or permanent residents
