Prohibits importing, selling, offering for sale, purchasing, bartering, or possessing with intent to sell ivory, ivory products, rhinoceros horns, or rhinoceros horn products in Missouri

Covers ivory from elephants, hippopotamuses, mammoths, narwhals, walruses, and whales, as well as rhinoceros horns from any species

First offense is a class A misdemeanor with fines up to $1,000; second or subsequent offenses are a class E felony with fines up to $5,000

Exempts inheritance transfers to legal beneficiaries, federal/state law enforcement activities, federally licensed imports, and items permitted by the Department of Natural Resources for educational or scientific purposes

Persons holding valid licenses or permits to sell these products prior to August 28, 2016 are exempt from the prohibition
