Removes the five-year time limit on payments in lieu of real property taxes that counties receive when the Department of Natural Resources acquires privately owned land for state parks

Applies to land acquired by the department for park purposes after July 1, 1985

Payments to counties are funded from the state parks sales tax fund and distributed to appropriate political subdivisions

Payment amounts are capped at the property tax level imposed by political subdivisions at the time the department acquired the land

Would be submitted to Missouri voters as a constitutional amendment at the November 2016 general election or a special election called by the governor
