MO SB1007

Repeals and replaces 12 sections of Missouri law governing compensation for county officers including commissioners, clerks, collectors, assessors, treasurers, auditors, sheriffs, coroners, and public administrators in non-charter counties

Establishes that county officials may receive up to 200% of the maximum compensation in their base salary schedule, as determined by the county salary commission under section 50.333

Removes the prosecuting attorney from the list of county salary commission members who vote on county officer compensation

Creates an automatic cost-of-living adjustment beginning January 1, 2017, increasing county officer compensation by 10% initially, then 2% annually each January 1st thereafter, until total compensation reaches 200% of maximum allowable compensation

Specifies that automatic annual increases occur regardless of salary commission action, unless the officer's compensation has already reached the 200% maximum threshold
