Adds statutory definition of "maximum medical improvement" (MMI) as the point when an injured employee's medical condition has stabilized and can no longer reasonably improve

Requires temporary total disability and temporary partial disability benefits to continue until the employee reaches MMI, with a maximum cap of 400 weeks

Establishes a 6-month deadline for claimants to obtain a second physician's disability rating after receiving the employer's physician rating for compromise settlements offered post-MMI

Defaults compromise settlements to the initial disability rating if the claimant fails to obtain a second rating within 6 months, unless an administrative law judge finds extenuating circumstances beyond mere failure to act

Amends sections 287.020, 287.149, 287.170, and 287.390 of Missouri Revised Statutes governing workers' compensation
