Expands the definition of "bullying" to include cyberbullying and requires district employees to report suspected bullying within two days; investigations must be initiated within one school day and completed within ten school days

Requires each school district to adopt a youth suicide awareness and prevention policy by July 1, 2018, including strategies for identifying at-risk students and protocols for responding to suicide deaths

Allows licensed educators to complete up to two hours of annual training in youth suicide awareness and prevention as part of required professional development hours, beginning in the 2017-2018 school year

Establishes "Show-Me Compassionate Medical Education Day" and creates the Show-Me Compassionate Medical Education Research Project Committee to study depression and suicide among medical students

Prohibits medical schools from restricting or penalizing student organizations that conduct studies on depression, suicide, or other mental health issues among medical students
