MO SJR40

Amends the Missouri Constitution to require the Citizens' Commission on Compensation for Elected Officials to set compensation at a specific dollar amount for elected state officials, general assembly members, and judges (except municipal judges)

Compensation schedules filed by the commission become effective unless disapproved by a two-thirds majority vote of the general assembly via concurrent resolution before February 1 of the following year

If the general assembly disapproves a compensation schedule, affected officials continue receiving the dollar amount established by the last approved schedule

Would be submitted to Missouri voters at the November 2016 general election or a special election called by the governor
