Notes that law enforcement personnel throughout the country provide Miranda warnings to suspects in custody informing them of their right to remain silent, right to an attorney, and right to appointed counsel if they cannot afford an attorney

Identifies the 2016 Law Day theme as "Miranda: More than Words" as designated by the American Bar Association

Calls for recommitment to the rule of law and the fundamental principles enshrined in the Declaration of Independence and the Federal Constitution
