HB 6 - Agriculture, Natural Resources, and Conservation Appropriations (FY 2022)

• Appropriates funds for the Department of Agriculture, Department of Natural Resources, Department of Conservation, and their divisions for fiscal year July 1, 2021 through June 30, 2022

• Allocates $2.6 billion to Department of Agriculture operations including animal health, grain inspection, plant industries, and business development divisions

• Allocates $45+ billion to Department of Natural Resources for environmental quality, state parks, water infrastructure, energy programs, and geological survey operations

• Allocates $175+ million to Department of Conservation for habitat management, fish and wildlife management, recreation, and education programs

• Includes restrictions on federal grant administrative costs (5% limit), land purchases (requires 60-day notice to General Assembly), and prohibits implementation of specific federal environmental rules without General Assembly approval
