Authorizes the Missouri General Assembly, House, or Senate to employ legislative security officers who may carry firearms and have full law enforcement powers including arrest authority, provided they are POST-licensed peace officers.

Grants the Attorney General authority to appoint commissioned investigators with the same arrest powers as peace officers for matters within the AG's jurisdiction; certificates of appointment must be filed with the Secretary of State.

Requires commissioned investigators in the AG's office to take an oath of office, comply with Chapter 590 peace officer standards, and serve at the pleasure of the Attorney General.

Includes an emergency clause for the legislative security officer provision, making it effective immediately upon passage due to capitol building safety concerns.
