Requires all motorcycle/motortricycle passengers under 10 years old to wear protective headgear meeting state standards

Allows law enforcement to stop, inspect, or detain persons solely to determine compliance with child passenger requirements, unlike general helmet law enforcement

Increases the fine for helmet violations involving child passengers under 10 from $25 to up to $100

Effective date of January 1, 2027; medical exemptions available when certified by a licensed physician
