Government entities and election officers in Missouri are prohibited from soliciting, accepting, or using private donations (funds, in-kind goods, or services) for election administration, with an exception for items of de minimis value.

Election officers and government entities may only join memberships, participate in programs, or purchase services from organizations that provide sworn certifications stating they have not financed elections, are free of foreign donations, and have no staff/board members who worked for election-funding organizations in the last 10 years.

Election officers who join organizations or participate in programs in their private capacity must publicly disclose this on their website (or the Secretary of State's website) for at least 30 days before joining through 180 days after membership ends, including details about the organization and its foreign donation status.

Violations constitute a class B misdemeanor, and any registered voter may bring a lawsuit to enforce the section.

Local ordinances conflicting with these provisions are declared void.
