Maintains age seven as the compulsory enrollment age for home schools and FPE (full-time equivalent) schools

Removes the provision allowing parents to submit written requests to drop children ages five to seven from school rolls

Retains existing exceptions for excused absences, including mental/physical incapacity, legal employment for ages 14+, and documented mental or behavioral health concerns

Compulsory attendance ends at age 17 (or after completing 16 high school credits), with metropolitan districts able to adopt resolutions adjusting this age
