Violators receive 60-day written notice to obtain Missouri title/registration and pay all owed taxes and fees; failure to comply results in a $500 penalty and driver's license suspension until paid in full

Willful false statements or tax evasion regarding vehicle purchases constitutes a fraudulent practice with a 75% penalty on unpaid fees/taxes, and the Department of Revenue may use insurance databases to identify non-compliant vehicles
