Public and school libraries must establish and publicly post policies for reconsidering materials based on complaints from community members or parents/guardians of enrolled students

Individuals requesting reconsideration must sign a form affirming they have read the entire challenged material and either reside in the library's taxing district with a library card, or are a parent/guardian of a student in the school district

Materials cannot be removed or relocated while reconsideration is pending, and any removal or relocation applies only to the specific library location where the request was filed

The same material cannot be reconsidered more than once every two years, and libraries must develop appeals processes and reinstatement timelines for removed materials

Library employees, contractors, and volunteers are protected from termination, discipline, or retaliation for refusing to remove materials before the formal review process is completed
