Speech-language pathologists employed by Missouri public school districts or charter schools would be granted equivalent status to certificated teaching personnel if they hold a valid license from the Missouri Board of Healing Arts

Department of Elementary and Secondary Education required to issue appropriate teaching certificate designations for speech-language pathologists for employment, benefits, and retirement eligibility purposes

Licensed school speech-language pathologists would become eligible for membership in the Public School Retirement System of Missouri under the same terms as certificated teachers, including contribution rates, service credit, retirement benefits, and survivor benefits

Effective date delayed to July 1, 2027

Rulemaking authority granted to DESE and the retirement system board of trustees to implement the new provisions
