Beginning with the 2026-27 school year, students suspended, expelled, or removed to interim educational settings for acts of school violence will not be counted in attendance or enrollment calculations for Missouri school accreditation purposes.

Expands existing protections that already exclude students expelled for bringing weapons to school, violent behavior, or acts of school violence from being counted as dropouts in accreditation metrics.

Amends Section 160.261, RSMo, which governs school discipline policies, reporting requirements for violent crimes, and related procedures.
