Requires owners to pay contractors within 40 days after receiving an invoice or pay application for satisfactorily completed work, with written notice required within 15 days if withholding any payment

Requires contractors to pay subcontractors within 7 days after receiving payment from the owner, and to notify subcontractors within 2 business days of the payment amount received for their work

Prohibits "pay-if-paid" clauses that condition payment to subcontractors on whether the contractor receives payment from the owner

Voids contract provisions that require parties to continue work without payment, waive rights as a condition of receiving undisputed payments, apply another state's laws, or allow adverse actions without written notice and opportunity to cure

Exempts owner-occupied residential properties of 4 units or less and applies only to nongovernmental construction contracts entered into after August 28, 2026
