Prohibits knowingly possessing, preparing, selling, distributing, or advertising mitragynine-derived products in Missouri

Defines "mitragynine-derived product" as any product containing mitragynine pseudoindoxyl or containing 7-hydroxymitragynine (7-OH) at levels greater than 2% of the overall alkaloid composition

Covers 7-OH regardless of whether naturally extracted or synthetically produced, including all isomers, esters, ethers, and salts

Exempts research institutions (higher education institutions and entities conducting scientific or medical research) from the prohibition

Adds new section 196.1172 to Chapter 196 of Missouri Revised Statutes
