Increases the distance threshold triggering automatic enrollment in the new placement district from 10 miles to 30 miles between the foster placement and the child's previous school

Raises the distance threshold for children receiving special school district services from 15 miles to 35 miles

Foster children retain the right to remain enrolled in their school of origin during placement disputes or to return to a previously attended school in an adjacent district

School districts must calculate grades and credits as of the date a foster child left school when absences result from court-ordered placement changes or court appearances, with no grade penalties for such absences
