Expands grandparent visitation rights to include situations where parents were never married and the custodial parent has denied reasonable visitation

Removes the restriction that prevented grandparents from filing for visitation when natural parents are legally married and living together with the child

Allows grandparents denied visitation for more than 60 days to file an independent action seeking visitation rights even when no prior custody or visitation order exists

Provides that visitation granted after filing an action does not terminate the grandparent's right to seek further relief under this section

Permits courts to enter orders confirming grandparent visitation agreements between parties if found to be in the child's best interests, with authority to impose additional conditions or restrictions
