Changes personal appearance requirement for acknowledgments from permissive ("may") to mandatory ("shall"), requiring individuals to appear either in-person or via communication technology complying with sections 486.600 to 486.1205

Requires acknowledging officers to designate on the acknowledgment form which method of personal appearance was used (physical presence or communication technology)

Permits acknowledgment forms for remote appearances to read "before me personally appears by means of communication of technology" to satisfy compliance requirements

Exempts conveyances of land made through a will from these requirements, provided the will's terms are clearly defined

Amends section 442.145, RSMo, governing acknowledgment procedures for documents under sections 442.150 to 442.360
