School board elections moved from municipal election dates to the first Tuesday after the first Monday in November of even-numbered years, beginning in 2028

School board member terms changed from three or six years to four-year terms for all members elected in 2028 and thereafter

Board members serving terms as of January 1, 2028 will continue until their successors are elected at the next general election, with terms modified to align with the new schedule

Applies to seven-director districts, urban districts, and special school districts throughout Missouri, repealing and amending 20 sections of RSMo Chapter 162
