Adds "sexual orientation," "gender identity," and "veteran status" as protected classes under Missouri's Human Rights Act (Chapter 213), prohibiting discrimination in employment, housing, public accommodations, and lending

Defines "sexual orientation" as actual or perceived emotional or physical attraction to members of the same gender, different gender, or any gender, including asexuality

Defines "gender identity" as gender-related identity, appearance, mannerisms, or other characteristics regardless of assigned sex at birth

Expands the definition of "race" to include protection for hairstyles such as braids, wigs, locks, twists, and afros that protect textured hair

Narrows the religious organization exemption for employers by requiring organizations be both owned "and" operated (rather than "or") by religious or sectarian groups to qualify for exemption
