Criminal justice agencies include courts with criminal jurisdiction and any local, county, or state agency involved in crime detection, investigation, prosecution, or corrections

Attorney general must issue guidance by February 28, 2027 to help agencies comply with data sharing requirements and establish processes for identifying qualified researchers

Agencies may charge reasonable fees not exceeding actual costs for search, retrieval, and copying of requested data, and data released to researchers does not constitute public release under Chapter 610
