Eliminates the requirement for public schools, private/parochial schools, and political subdivisions to report asbestos examination results to the Department of Health and Senior Services, instead requiring them only to maintain these records internally

Removes outdated filing deadlines (March 1, 1987 for schools; December 31, 1991 for political subdivisions) from state law

Requires asbestos assessment results to remain public information, readily available to the public and employees, but no longer filed with the state

Repeals Section 643.265, which required an interagency agreement between the Department of Health and Senior Services and Department of Natural Resources on asbestos procedures, and designated the state agency for federal asbestos abatement grants

Eliminates requirements for the Department of Health and Senior Services to provide technical assistance to political subdivisions, compile annual lists of schools with friable asbestos, and assess asbestos in state-owned buildings
