Health carriers must provide coverage for perimenopause, menopause, and postmenopause treatments beginning January 1, 2027

Required coverage includes hormone therapy (estrogen, progesterone, combination medicines), SSRIs, SNRIs, vaginal estrogen, osteoporosis medications, neurokinin B antagonists, topical hormone therapy, and bioidentical hormones

Only FDA-approved drugs and medications qualify for mandated coverage

Coverage cannot be subject to higher deductibles or copayments than other similar health care services in the plan

Exemptions apply to supplemental policies including life care contracts, accident-only policies, specified disease policies, Medicare supplement policies, long-term care policies, and short-term major medical policies of six months or less
