Common carriers must first pay up to $1.5 million in state sales and use taxes per calendar year before the exemption takes effect

Sales and use tax revenues from aviation jet fuel are deposited into the Aviation Trust Fund, capped at $10 million per calendar year

Carriers must provide a written exemption certificate to sellers or may enter into a direct-pay agreement with the Department of Revenue
