Neighborhood organizations and nearby property owners may seek injunctive relief to abate nuisances after providing 60-day written notice to the offending property owner and tenant

Non-Missouri residents who own property with code or ordinance violations face a $2,000 civil fine per violation

Properties that are structurally unsafe must be abated within one year; unabated properties or those with unpaid fines after two years may be sold by the taxing jurisdiction to recover abatement costs and fines
