Registered lobbyists must dissolve their candidate committees, with remaining funds limited to: returning contributions to original donors, donating to 501(c)(3) nonprofits, or transferring to political party committees

Exception allows lobbyists to maintain candidate committees for county, municipal, or school board offices if they are not registered to lobby that specific governmental entity

Lobbyists may change which local office their candidate committee is designated to seek, as long as they never simultaneously lobby the office they're seeking

Candidate committees maintained under the local office exception can only spend money to support the lobbyist's own candidacy or for the three dissolution purposes listed above
