Proposes a constitutional amendment to Article I, Section 22(a) of the Missouri Constitution regarding jury trial waivers in criminal cases

Would allow criminal defendants to waive jury trial and have a bench trial only with the assent of both "the government and the court" (current law requires only court approval)

Scheduled for voter consideration at the November 2026 general election or at a special election called by the governor

Preserves existing jury provisions: juries in courts not of record may have fewer than 12 members, two-thirds majority required for civil verdicts in those courts, and three-fourths majority required for civil verdicts in courts of record
